Why is VCUBE is not published under the GPL?
VCUBE Framework is an independent theme framework which allows you to build themes for different content management systems. The framework uses adapters to get data from different content management systems like Joomla or Vtiger Customer Portal. The framework itself does not derive from Joomla, Wordpress, any other CMS or web platform and can be considered as independent and separate work. Templates based on the VCUBE theme framework and the framework itself are distributed as separate work.
