Category Sale Manager Pro 1.1! is an additional module for Virtuemart, designed and built for speed the management of discounts on Virtuemart.
Category Sale Manager Pro 1.1 needs to be installed:
Existing installation of Joomla 1.5.x
HOW TO VERIFY:
- Login to backend of your site, at address like this: http://www.yoursite.com/administrator
- Perform Login with your administrative user id and password
- Check the top-right corner, the version must be at least 1.5
Existing installation of Virtuemart 1.1.x
HOW YO VERIFY
- Login to backend of your site, at address like this: http://www.yoursite.com/administrator
- Perform Login with your administrative user id and password
- Go to Component menu and select Virtuemart
- Check the bottom-left corner, the version must be at least 1.1
Check Super Administrator and system rights to perform the installation of the product.
- Login to backend of your site, at address like this: http://www.yoursite.com/administrator
- Perform Login with your administrative user id and password
- Go to Site Menu and select User Manager
- Search for your user and check if User group is Super Administrator
The absence of even one of the requirements we strongly recommend contact your service provider, or your agency/webmaster Internet Site Provider.

Generally, the installation of additional plug-in Virtuemart, or simple additions require code changes, very simple for those who has the foundations of programming, but particularly difficult for those not familiar with the structure of the software.
To simplify this task we have developed a unique method VMEASY Installer, which allows installation with a few simple clicks and above reduces margins of error.
There are three installation methods:
Automatic Installation. To follow if your installation of virtuemart no other Virtuemart Plugins third installed.
Manual Installation. for experts. Necessary if your installation of the VirtueMart are other third-party components.
FTP Installation. for experts. Necessary if your have problem with "low permission" hosting.

1. Access the Administration of your Joomla site
2. From the panel, type your login as super administrator
Warning: No login as super administrator is not can perform automatic installation! To verify your type of account click here
Once you access the main menu select
3. Extensions> Install / Uninstall
4. From the Extensions Manager click Browse and select com_categorysale.zip the file you downloaded:
5. Once selected the file click on Upload File & Install to start Installation
6. After installing the component displays a message of confirmation
7. Now from the menu select Joomla Components menu Virtuemart Category Sale ProManager Installer to start the second part of the installation
8. Click Automatic Install to copy Category Sale Manager Pro 1.1 in Virtuemart menu
9. A confirmation message will warn you that the installation was successfully click on the link for immediate access to Category Sale Manager Pro 1.1
10. Congratulations you have installed Category Sale Manager Pro 1.1!
Follow the steps in the Automatic up to step 7
8. Click Manual Install to copy Category Sale Manager Pro 1.1 in Virtuemart menu
10. A confirmation message will warn you that the installation was successfully click on the link for immediate access to Category Sale Manager Pro 1.1
11. Now download via FTP the file administrator\components\com_virtuemart\header.php
12. Open file with editor, at line 452, after tag <ul>

12. Go to Virtuemart and select Category Sale ProManager from Product menu to use it!
FTP INSTALLATION
Follow the steps in the Automatic up to step 7
8. Open via FTP your site the folder:
yoursite.com/administrator/components/com_categorysalepromanager
contains the following files:
header.php
ps_categorysalepromanager.php
product.categorysalepromanager.php
9. Download it on your Hard Drive
10. be copied into the following directory:
header.php
to be copied (replace the exist file) to:
yoursite.com/administrator/components/com_virtuemart /
ps_categorysalepromanager.php
to be copied (replace the exist file) to:
yoursite.com/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes
product.categorysalepromanager.php
to be copied (replace the exist file) to:
yoursite.com/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/html/
11. Go to Virtuemart and select Category Sale ProManager from Product menu to use it!
To Apply Discount to the target category, simply create the new discount from the embedded virtuemart discount manager and return to Category Sale.
1. Select the target category
2. Select the discount created
3. Click on Apply Discount
To delete or modify the discount, ex. from 20% to 15% to all concerned product simply usage the embedded virtuemart discount manager to lear more see the official documentation VIRTUEMART PRODUCT DISCOUNT.
With the discount function there is the "Auto featured product" very useful if your Virtuemart store using the "Promo Featured" module, to learn more see the official documentation VIRTUEMART PRODUCT ADMINISTRATION.
This function apply to all concerned product the
option "On Special".
Use this function to apply the discount only to a range of price. Pay attention: Category Sale Pro Manager automatically selects the minimum price and the max price in your shop, the prices are NET, exluse of VAT, modify the value to change the range.
Ex.: if you want to apply discount only to products with a price higher than 10$ set the minimum price to 10
